Ross Lions Club Focus Areas
Vision
Screening
We serve to prevent avoidable blindness and improve quality of life for people who are blind and visually impaired. In 1925, Helen Keller challenged the Lions to "Become Knights of the Blind in the Crusade to Prevent Darkness" which started our almost a century long quest to prevent blindness. Each year we conduct FREE vision screenings in the Ross Area Pre-Schools and screen 200+ children annually.
Youth
The Ross Lions Club sponsors annual scholarships for Ross Area High School Seniors who are seeking vocational and college educations. All net proceeds from the new "Flags Across Ross" project will be used to fund additional scholarships.
